Foram Project Day 1

I started working today on my foram project for GSA. I mixed Tragacanth gum that I found in the Conodont room with about 2" of water in a solo cup and mixed about a teaspoon or two of the powder with the water. It took a while to stir, but it was holding sand grains okay, so I think the forams should stay just fine too. Here's my general overview of when to get stuff done by:

GSA 16–17 April | Ames, Iowa

Now I just need to figure out how many forams to pick from each sample. More would be better, and a number divisible by 100 would be nice for percentages... I have enough slides that I can do 8 slides per sample, which is 400 forams, but that's a LOT of IDing.... I have Robin's forams to ID still too.

Let's get down to business!! (To defeat the Huuuuuns!!)
